The Central Philippine Adventist College has once again proved itself as one of the leading institutions for quality Christian Education after ranking first in the Province of Negros Occidental in the licensure examination for Certified Public Accountants (CPA) result 2016.

CPAC beamed with pride when the CPA examination results were released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) in its website, dawn of May 24, 2016. The school produced 8 passers in the May 2016 CPA licensure examination. They were among the 2,967 out of 6,925 takers who luckily passed the examination as announced by the PRC. The examination was given by the Board of Accountancy in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo and Legazpi.

In terms of passing percentage, CPAC ranked first province-wide with a passing rate of 66.67% for the first timers, 100% for re-takers and an overall passing percentage of 80%.

The following are the new CPAs and their respective year of graduation.

Jonel Mahinay and Erly Grace Rosareal – 2013; Melanie Batiancela – 2014; and Keziah Joy Bulacja, Herman Casabuena Jr., Zenith Joy Dollosa, Nisaam Ibbar London and Regeant Pearl Villarete – 2015.

“The whole college community and especially BSA students are so happy for this achievement considering that for two consecutive May board exams, we didn’t have passers. The college has no control over the takers of the board examination unlike other colleges and universities. The result of this recent board exam is an inspiration to the succeeding takers that they can hurdle the board exam considering the training they get from the college,” Mrs. Christy S. Doroy, School of Business dean and BSA chairperson said during the interview.

Surely, this is another tale of God’s great providence and blessing not just to the lives of these new CPAs but to CPAC and to the whole SDA community as well. With His abiding guidance, CPAC endeavors to continue the remarkable 80%, all for His greater glory.

Regeant Pearl E. Villarete is the new accounting clerk of Central Philippine Union Conference.
