More than 60 souls accepted Christ as their personal Savior during the culmination of the Hope for the Hopeless World Seminar held at the Adventist Academy- Cebu gymnasium, Bulacao, Talisay City, Cebu on April 21, 2018.

Dr. Robert E. Costa, ministerial associate in Evangelism & Church Growth for the General Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, and Pastor Edwin C. Gulfan, field secretary in Evangelism for Southern Asia – Pacific Division of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, were the nightly speakers from April 15-21, 2018.

The sowing of seeds of truth in the hearts of our fellow men was made possible through the working of the Holy Spirit and the unified efforts of Central Visayan Conference (CVC) pastors, elders, laymen, the Care Group Ministry, and the 1000 Missionary Movement missionaries assigned in one of the districts in Central
Visayas.

Central Philippine Union Conference ministerial secretary, Pastor Elmer P. Pagunsan commented that this evangelistic meeting was an application for all the Pastors to know how to reach the public and how to bring decisions out of what they had learned in the evangelism conference,”

Moreover, Manuel Lastimosa from lagtang SDA Church, shared how he learned and knew about God, and it was through a Bible study that was conducted to him and his companions. “I thanked God that He opened my eyes to know the truth,” he added.

Remegio Balido from Basak, Pardo also said that he was so happy that he knew God because it helped him a lot to change his ways, specifically, to put an end to all his vices.

“I am so happy that I and my family know the truth, and I praise God that we will be baptized together as a family,” according to Maricore Ravanes from Lagtang
with three kids.

Over 1000 people gathered together on the Sabbath and witnessed the baptism held right after the Hour of Worship. The decisions of the newly baptized were sealed with prayers, and Bibles were distributed to them right after the baptism ceremony.
