The Sanctuary for Asia, a life-size, almost near to scale replica of the sanctuary built during the sojourn of the Israelites in the dessert during the time of Moses, continues its tour in Panay. After its run in Iloilo City and Balasan, the Sanctuary is currently in the Municipality of Numancia, Province of Aklan.

On April 4, 2018, the Sanctuary for Asia was officially opened to the public in Aklan. An opening program was held with the presence of Mayor Templonuevo of Numancia.

Pastor Owen Emen, the outgoing district pastor in Eastern Aklan, opened the program with a prayer. Heavenly music was also offered to God by the MEGS Singers from Badio SDA Church in Numancia.

Tirso Jamandre III, coordinator of Sanctuary for Asia, gave the history on how the Sanctuary for Asia was conceptualized and finally brought to fruition by By Romelyn Alvarez Sanctuary for Asia opens in Aklan the Holy Spirit’s leading.

Pastor Emen then shared the story of how the lot for the SFA in Aklan was procured. He said that he was about to give up the search for a suitable spot but just as he was about to do so, his son prayed for his search. Minutes later, his phone rang and the other person on the line confirmed that the land was provided for. The land was strategically located just along the national highway, near the province’s capital.

Pastor Joward Blaza, Northern Panay Mission field secretary, gave a short inspirational message on the need to go to the Sanctuary to delve deeper into God’s plan of salvation. “Whenever we understand God’s plan of salvation for us, our life will never be the same again. Let’s grab this opportunity to visit the Sanctuary,” Pastor Blaza said.

The program was closed with a song and a prayer by Bro. Dominador Tamares.
